Description
Class Description: Learn what gouache paint is and its uses in art. I will demonstrate sketching a Texas landscape and then painting it with watercolor pencils and layered gouache along with other mixed techniques. I will also demonstrate and let the class paint along with the different techniques and brushstrokes that are unique and similar to my paintings. I am self taught so my techniques are specific to my style.
Topics Covered: Basic sketching, painting, gouache techniques, using watercolor and colored pencils to accent your gouache
Materials Needed: Sketchbook or paper to sketch on, pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener, artist grade colored pencils and watercolor pencils (preferably Prismacolor or Aritiza brand - pack of 12)
Optional: Metallic gouache
Instructor will provide the final surface to paint (Strathmore Black Mixed-Media Paper 9x12”)
